Mohammed Ahmad is a partner at Salt & Associates, bringing extensive international legal experience, particularly in the Middle East. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 2012, he also holds rights of audience before the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Courts.
Mohammed’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, with a deep understanding of cross-border legal frameworks, particularly between Iraq and the UAE. His ability to navigate the legal landscapes of these regions makes him a trusted advisor to a broad range of clients.
Beginning his career at Herbert Smith Freehills in Dubai, Mohammed gained early exposure to international best practices. He later held key roles as legal counsel at Abu Dhabi Media Company and as General Counsel for Manazel Real Estate, where he developed significant expertise in real estate and corporate law. His legal career continued to advance when he joined Baitulhikma Lawyers in 2015, where he now leads Salt & Associates’ Dubai office, focusing on corporate transactions and complex litigation cases.
Mohammed is fluent in English, Arabic and Turkish. His strong academic background complements his practical experience, making him adept at handling high-value transactions and cross-border disputes. A notable example of his expertise includes his leadership in a landmark AED 2.5 billion land sale and purchase agreement, as well as his role in advising on key DIFC cases, where he consistently delivers successful outcomes for clients operating across jurisdictions.
With his cross-jurisdictional experience and in-depth knowledge of both Iraqi and UAE legal systems, Mohammed continues to play a critical role in supporting clients navigating the legal complexities in the Middle East.
