Salt & Associates Supports Iraq’s Creative Economy and Cultural Heritage

As part of Salt & Associates’ broader commitment to corporate social responsibility, cultural heritage, and Iraq’s growing creative economy, Mr. Richard Sunderland, Director of the British Council in Iraq, visited Khan Al-Baghdadi for Arts and Heritage in Baghdad’s historic Shawaka district, accompanied by Dr. Arwa Al Rawi, Strategic Relations Advisor at Salt & Associates, and Mohammed Fadhel, Associate at Salt & Associates.

The visit offered an opportunity to meet local artists, explore their studios and galleries, and exchange perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing Iraq’s creative sector.

The discussion also highlighted the important role that the private sector, international institutions, and strategic partnerships can play in supporting local artists, preserving cultural heritage, and creating a more sustainable creative economy.

At Salt & Associates, we see corporate responsibility as extending beyond business — toward strengthening the communities, cultural ecosystems, and partnerships that contribute to Iraq’s long-term development.
