Ahmed has developed substantial experience representing clients before Iraqi investigative, misdemeanor and felony courts, with particular experience in complex and sensitive criminal matters. His practice includes cases involving narcotics and psychotropic substances, as well as matters arising under Article 4 of the Iraqi Anti-Terrorism Law. He represents clients throughout both the investigative and trial stages, including proceedings requiring detailed evidentiary analysis and strategic defence.

His litigation experience also extends to civil disputes before Courts of First Instance and Courts of Appeal, including property ownership claims, fair rental value and usufruct claims, rent recovery disputes and eviction proceedings. He has further represented clients before Internal Security Forces courts in matters involving officers and personnel of the Ministry of Interior.

In addition to his litigation practice, Ahmed provides legal consultations and advises on contractual matters, including the preparation and review of agreements, with a focus on protecting clients’ rights and managing legal risk.

Prior to joining Salt & Associates, Ahmed gained professional experience within the legal office of the Saudi Embassy in Iraq, where he developed further experience in legal matters and professional advisory work.

Ahmed is fluent in Arabic and has intermediate proficiency in English. His practice combines courtroom advocacy with a practical understanding of Iraqi investigative and judicial procedures, enabling him to assist clients across a range of contentious and advisory matters.
