Subhi Salt is the Founding Partner of Salt & Associates. Subhi studied law at the University of Baghdad and was admitted to the Iraqi Bar in 1972. He has been practicing law in the UAE since 1980 and currently has rights of audience before the Dubai courts in the UAE; the Supreme Courts in the Sultanate of Oman; and all courts in Iraq.
Prior to establishing Salt & Associates Law Firm, Subhi was employed at the National Insurance Company of Baghdad for five years before moving to the Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company. From there, he moved to the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) in 1980, where he was primarily responsible for drafting a range of legal documents, including letters of credit, loan guarantees, loan agreements, syndicated loan agreements and bridge loan agreements.
Subhi has extensive experience in the banking and finance, and insurance sectors. He has significant exposure in litigation, asset recovery, and arbitration. His ability to navigate complex legal landscapes has not only established him as a leading figure in these areas but also as a sought-after arbitrator.
Subhi’s multilingual fluency in English, Arabic, and Turkish further enables him to bridge legal cultures and practices, offering
nuanced, comprehensive legal solutions to a global clientele.
